Every year, the National Capital Kennel Club hosts fantastic dog shows during the July Independence and October Fall Fest Clusters at the Howard County Fairgrounds! We’d love for you to join us in 2025—be sure to save the dates:

The National Capital Kennel Club proudly celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2014, highlighting a rich legacy of dedication to the sport of purebred dogs. Our passionate members are committed to the dog sport community. We host an annual member holiday celebration and special events that foster connection and growth. Our September 2022 handling seminar presented by George Alston, available at www.akc.tv, exemplifies our commitment to excellence. Supporting Junior Handlers also remains a vital priority, inspiring the next generation to carry on our mission.
In July, in addition to Conformation judging for our show, we have a 4-6 month puppy competition and CGC testing. In October we have one Obedience trial and two Rally trials. Our club's hospitality and annual events bring joy to dog lovers. Join us in July for ice cream bars during Groups, and cookies in October, where you can admire a beautiful lineup of dogs.
